Priesthood

During his priestly formation, Gavin trained at SIPTU Liberty Hall, Dublin, at the Northlands addiction treatment counselling centre, Derry, and at Saint Patrick's Hospital, Mental Health Services, James Street, Dublin. Following ordination in 1991 and graduation, while working as a priest in the Diocese of Dublin, Gavin was a school teacher in Bray, County Wicklow.
